I was born and raised in the Philippines but recently moved to Hawaii because of my husband. We met back in College but we were both in a relationship back then so we didn’t really hang out with each other. We had a crush on each other but he never talked to me, instead he would just talk to my best friend. Fast forward to our college graduation when he added me on one of my social media accounts and the rest is history. It was a good solid 4 years after college when we finally became a couple. I was adamant at first on having a long distant relationship but hey, we made it work. You want to know the secret? It’s 24/7 communication. Yep, you read it right – 24/7. We would be on skype even if the other one is sleeping or doing other things like laundry, cooking etc. It’s like having a 24/7 live feed video but of course, during work we would just constantly update each other through facebook messenger or send each other imessages. It was hard since we were on different timezones and oftentimes, I would think of giving up but my husband was determined and I thank him for that. Today, life is happier – not perfect, but definitely better with him. Sharing some pictures of the beautiful place I now call home. All pictures taken by me.
